Healthy Living and Home Maintenance: Practical Advice for Busy People

Befriending My Home

Do you often find yourself too busy with your work (or life in general) to keep your home clean and tidy? Do you also feel too tired to clean up after a long day, even though you know that having a clean home is essential for your mental health and overall well-being? If your answer is yes, then you have landed on the right page.

Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Lauriane, and I live in California. I’m a mom, a wife, and a full-time worker. In other words, life can get hectic fast, and cleaning sometimes takes a step back. Many of you probably know exactly what I’m talking about. Between our jobs, kids’ activities, and everything else, maintaining our home can sometimes be overwhelming.

Did you know?

A recent study shows that the act of cleaning coupled with a clean home as an outcome helps reduce stress. A clean home creates a sense of control and order, improves focus, and regulates emotions. The act of cleaning releases endorphins, which contribute to relieving stress and overall well-being.

You will find here solutions that work for me. I hope they can also help you tackle the most challenging part of having and maintaining a clean home. With that said, I also share more casual content on my journey towards a healthier me. From healthy recipes to workout motivation, I’ll share my up and downs. I do not like exercising but I value my health, so it’s all about compromises (and when not to make them). I’m truly hoping you will find some useful tools for your own daily challenges and, if not, some motivation.
